Main Street Brewery - A Diverse Brewpub Experience in Pleasanton, CA

OK, so the virus numbers are down and I've had 3 shots. It definitely feels like we are overdue to start doing social things again. I had a really great burger here and was actually there to see "Duran Duran Duran", a cover band for ... "Duran Duran". The atmosphere is charming, space is limited inside but there is some seating outside where it almost feels like you are on a porch. I don't know if Friday night was typical, but the staff were attentive, the people there for the show were all in great spirits and the band was awesome! My wife and I as well as our friend who was with us all agree we would even travel to see them perform. You can bet we will be back. We've been telling everyone what a great experience and how much fun it was.

Staff was friendly. Nachos were great. Black and blue burger was delicious. Local beer was good.

We have been using this establishment for over a year now for a networking event. They have a great seating area (VIP section if you want to reserve). It is a fenced in raised platform that makes for a good area to mingle and provide a buffet style app table. The drinks are good and fairly priced. They provide us with a dedicated server. It has always been a pleasant experience.

Stopped by on a whim and had such a great time. Our server John was fantastic. Went WAY above and beyond. Food was good, I had salmon Caesar and mozzarella sticks that tasted fresh. Fam got chipotle burger, chicken sandwich, fish and chips and everyone really enjoyed, plus they loved the home brews! We’ll definitely go again. Glad we stepped out of our usual comfort zone and tried a new place!

As far as breweries go, the beer doesn’t deserve four stars. Definitely old school, 1990’s IPA’s. However, this place has been here forever. I remember finding it over 30 years ago. Prices are very reasonable and food is good. I guess this is more of a restaurant/bar and just happens to brew beer. Stick with Altamont Beer Works for beer. Come here for bar atmosphere and great prices for on an extensive menu.

The Main Street Brewery is a great home away from home. Do you like local bars that brew their own beer!? This is the place for you! Located at the entrance to downtown Pleasanton, they are the first establishment you will see arriving into town. Delicious bar food as well as full on dinner entrees are served and they all hit the spot. Enjoy live music on Wednesday and Fridays (some Saturdays too, I believe in the warmer months). Plenty of regulars congregate here to eat, drink, and be merry now is the time to become one of them.
